What is the 'Trailblazing Titan Award'?

In celebration of Supporting Girls In Sports’ 5th year anniversary, a new initiative called the Trailblazing Titan Award was launched. This award is given to one (1) student per secondary school from the 2024 graduating class at their graduation/ award ceremony. The criterion for the award is as follows:

A Female Student Athlete who
• Plays an active role in sports in her school.
• Is not awarded Sports Woman of the Year for her graduating class.
• Exhibits exemplary sportsmanship, demonstrating fairness, respect, and integrity both on and off the field.
• Has shown exceptional skill and performance in her chosen sport(s) during her time at the school.
• Maintains a balance between sports and academics, showing commitment to both areas of her student life.
• Serves as a positive role model for other students, embodying the values of sportsmanship, determination, and perseverance.

These requirements ensure that the recipient of the "Trailblazing Titan" award is given to someone who is equally eligible for the “Sports Woman Of The Year” award but due to certain limitations could not be the primary recipient. That individual should embody not only athletic excellence but also leadership, sportsmanship, and positive influence within the school community.

At Supporting Girls In Sports our ethos is to allow as many women/girl to be recognised for their hard work within the sports world as possible and endeavour to facilitate these accolades through our initiatives.
